Charles Frodsham Double Balance Two-day Chronometer, London, no. 1707, No. 7 Pavement, Finsbury Square, 4-in. silvered twenty-four-hour dial with subsidiary seconds and up/down indicator marked with maker's name, location, and number as above, full plate, chain fusee movement with helical hairspring, dual split bimetallic balance with adjusting screws and sprig detent escapement, in a fully gimbaled brass bowl, all housed in a three-tier mahogany box with plaque marked "Double Balance Chronometer by Charles Frodsham," ht. 6 1/2 in. Estimate $2,000-2,500 Chronometer ticks but doesn't stay running.
