Large Mahogany Queen Anne Drop-leaf Dining Table, Rhode Island, mid- to late 18th century, oval top with deep drop-leaves on an arched skirt joining four ring-turned tapering legs ending in pad feet, refinished, ht. 30 1/2, wd. 56, dp. open 61 1/2 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 The table is in good, sturdy condition. It is refinished, but has good color. There is a 4-inch loss to the rule joint at one edge, where it looks like an old patch fell out. The leaves are each two boards and appear original, as do the hinges. There is an old repaired crack at the top of one leg. There appears to be no major restoration. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Condition requests can be obtained via email (lot inquiry button) or by telephone to the appropriate gallery location (Boston/617.350.5400 or Marlborough/508.970.3000).
