American School, 20th century, in the Style of Alfred R. Waud (New York, 1828-1891) West Side Waterfront Bears signature "A.R.W." l.r. and inscribed with descriptive text on the verso. Oil on board, 15 3/4 x 19 3/4 in., in a molded oak frame. Condition: No obvious retouch. Provenance: Collection of Judge Jon Tom Staton, Edmond, Oklahoma. Estimate $3,000-5,000 Very small spots of paint loss along the left edge where the painting meets the liner.
