Carved and Turned Maple Armchair, New England, mid-18th century, with carved yoked cresting, vasiform splat, and scrolled arms on a base of block, vase, and ring turnings and carved Spanish feet, ht. 42, seat ht. 17 1/2 in. Estimate $600-800 The piece is refinished, and with age-consistent wear. the splat is made of two pieces. there appear to be no major repairs or imperfections.
