1826 Erie Canal Completion Medal in White Metal, HK-1 and Half of Original Box, with traces of lustre in the devices, chatter to the field, and some minor rim dings, the half-box with stamped insert reading: "This box was made out of a piece of wood, brought from Erie in the first Canal Boat The Seneca Chief," the box reportedly made by Duncan Phyfe.
