George III Sterling Silver Tea Cannister, Newcastle, last quarter 18th century, John Langlands I & John Robertson I, maker, lacking date mark, with engraved neoclassical designs throughout and armorial to reverse, ht. 4 1/4 in., approx. 18.7 troy oz. Estimate $400-600 Silver-plate tip of finial replacement, with scattered restorations including dent with related split to joint on footrim, area around key-hole , hinge, and middle seam to reverse. Scattered minor dents, abrasions. Wear to surface.
