" l.r., identified with the French title on a handwritten label affixed to the stretcher, alternately titled on a presentation plaque affixed to the back of the frame, and with a later typed label affixed to the frame backing. Oil on canvas, 35 x 29 in. (88.5 x 74.0 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, retouch. Estimate $1,000-1,500 The typed label on the frame backing details what had been inscribed on the back of the canvas before lining. It provided a third variation on the title: "Dutch Interior-Volendam, Noord Holland 98."
