Lacquer and paint are original. Desktop surface displaying even and attractive patina. There are stable minor openings and fissures to lacquer in keeping with age and natural aging process. Screws affixing the swing-out writing surface are replaced; all other hardware on the desk is original. Cantilevered hinged surface migrates slightly downward. Small points of wear and rounding to edges of wood surfaces. Drawer functions properly. The patinated iron presents with rich coloration and wonderful nuance to the surface. Overall desk is in excellent vintage condition. Images available. Desk features one drawer and one fold-out work surface. France, c. 1927
