Italian, 20th century. A parcel gilt wooden figural two light candle sconce or wall applique with a monkey at center with wavy hair in relief and head turned to side, the monkey holding on with right hand to palm leaves above his head and holding a fruit near his feet with other hand, wearing a gilt vest and black three pointed hat, the monkey atop a shell form wave at springing point for two wavy, upturned arms surmounted by round leaf tip candle cups. Stamped to back "Made in Italy". Approximately 21.25" tall, 15.75" wide, 6" deep.
