Overall good condition, some minor wrinkles to corners and very small area of water stains to far lower left edge. Not examined out of frame. Framed behind Plexiglas, re-framing recommended. Twelve preparatory drawings were completed; one is in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, two are in private collections, and the other nine are being offered in this sale. The vases were completed in 1937 and remain outside the stadium today.
