Style of Franz Hagenauer (Austrian, 1906-1986) for Werkstatte Hagenauer Wien chromed metal animal table top sculpture depicting a modern, sleek and streamlined standing borzoi (Russian wolfhound) dog with rounded back, tapered triangular head and rounded bushy tail. Elegant Art Deco dog, commonly portrayed in the 1920s-1930s standing on an oblong black base with curved ends. Marked on interior with front leg with "MADE IN AUSTRIA", Werkstatte Hagenauer Wien (WHW) mark within circle and "KARL". Overall approximate height 7.5", width 8", depth 3".
