Danish. B & G factory marks, HK within an oval in under glaze blue. The large shallow bowl decorated in the recess by Henning Koppel, with an overall interlaced circular motif in blue, on a raised circular foot. Height 5”. Diameter 18”. (Cond: good) (800/1200) Cf. Henning Koppel, (1918–1981) was a principle designer of jewelry for Georg Jensen, Silversmiths, from 1945 through 1981. Besides his ‘biomorphic’ designed jewelry he was also known for a mainstay of decorative arts designs reflected in what was to become known as the “Danish Modern” style.
