(American, 1916-2003) vessel wild black cherry signed Ed Moulthrop, Wild Black Cherry, Prunus Serotina and numbered 907962 Height 15 1/2 x diameter 23 inches A large and impactful work, in overall good condition. There is light surface wear which appears to be due to cleaning. There is very light surface scratching throughout. There is a crack to the base of the bowl where the foot is, about 1 inch long, which is does not seem to effect the stability or structure, it is also very difficult to see when in situe. Wood appears vibrant with little to no sun damage.
