(French, 1879-1933) EARLY 20TH CENTURY a two-drawer console table Height 29 x width 25 1/2 x depth 14 inches Frame is wobbly; legs are affixed to case with later nails (likely originally fixed with dowels). Surface wear to case in the form of minor scratches, nicks and tight age splits. Scattered areas of repair to the veneer, together with some minor areas of veneer loss, particularly at the corners and edges. Drawers open and close smoothly; the proper-left drawer with ink stains to the interior. Both drawer pulls are slightly askew, and various hardware elements to the drawer interiors suggest that the pulls were likely removed and re-attached.
