(American, 1920�1987) PLYCRAFT, 1960s a set of four chairs walnut manufacturer's tag to underneath on one Height 29 x width 16 x depth 19 inches Literature: 1000 Chairs, Charlotte and Peter Fiell, pg. 316. Note: Plycraft commissioned Cherner to design this chair in 1958. Upon completion, Cherner was told the project was cancelled only to later learn that Plycraft released his design as a work by Bernardo. In 1961, Cherner took Plycraft to court and won. Overall good stable condition. All screws are in place underneath. Light surface scratching and wear throughout, worsens around feet, consistent with age. Several more moderate scratches throughout, consistent with age and moderate use.
