Syrian, likely 19th century. An elaborately crafted teak and brass folding butler's table intricately inlaid in copper and brass comprising a tray top with elaborate inlay decorated with central starburst and repeating Islamic style geometric patterns within a rectangular frame of ebonized wood banding and foliate scrolls in framed by a gallery decorated with inlaid quatrefoils and brass trim with serpentine sides and cutout handles, over a vine inlaid skirt surmounting four folding legs with conforming inlay and cyma curved edges in the form of Islamic architecture, all joined by two side stretchers and a central detachable stretcher. Approximate height 30.5", width 29.75", depth 20".
