Diego Rivera (Mexico, 1886-1957) unframed mixed media drawing titled "Estudio Para Mural"; a mural study depicting the Aztec Goddess of creation Coatlicue as featured in Rivera's "Pan American Unity" mural in San Francisco. Signed by the artist to the lower right hand corner. Measures approximately 30" in height by 24" in width. Included with the work is the original bill of sale from Diego Rivera to the actor Jack Beny. Provenance: from the estate of a prominent European & Texas collector, known to not only to have collected quite an amazing assortment of notable art, but to have befriended a vast majority of the artists of whose work was acquired. It is our recommendation that all pieces must be examined in person by perspective clients or a dealer they have asked to give them a condition report.
