Thomas Stevens (1828-1888), Stevengraph picture woven in silk and mounted and framed under glass, showing a locomotive hauling a passenger train; frame measures approximately 8-7/8” in height and 10-7/8” in width with a sight image of approximately 3-1/4” in height and 6” in width. “Woven Silk by Thomas Stevens, Inventor and Manufacturer, Coventry and London (Registered)” and “The Present Time. 60 Miles an Hour” under image. Glass is broken verso and the body of image has a tear.
