Patinated Brass and Gilt Ormolu-mounted Figural Mantel Clock, Paris, c. 1840, a woman in a finely draped and engraved dress embracing her child with one hand, holding out a rattle in the otehr hand, stepped shaped case with two elephant heads flank the 4-in. roman numeral convex porcelain dial that reads a Paris with an engine-turned bezel, and pierced and engraved hands, lower frieze depicting two mythological gods in battle, with Egyptian-style portrait mounts on the side, terminating in trumpet-form feet, eight-day time and count wheel strike mechanism with a silk thread suspension, ht. 19 in.
