Mahogany Quarter-hour Chiming Longcase Clock, Brompton, England, c. 1790, pagoda hood with pierced sound frets in arch and sides, freestanding fluted columns flank the sheet brass dial marked Jackson Brompton with strike/silent in the arch, seconds bit and calendar aperture, crotch mahogany veneered tombstone-shaped door, and lower raised base panel, terminating in a shaped step-molded foot, five-pillar, eight-day time and quarter-chiming on eight bells movement regulated by a pendulum and three brass-cased weights, ht. 97 in. (without finials).
