Nine-bell Quarter-chiming Regency Longcase Clock, England, late 19th century, satinwood dome-top case, the hood with inlaid door, blind sound frets on the case sides and lower spandrels, chamfered columns flank the round opening to the 12-in. dia. engraved sheet brass silvered dial with roman numerals and blued-steel hands, the waist with figured satinwood veneer and mahogany banding, the lower panel with raised beaded edge, framing a satinwood veneered panel with banded mahogany, all on raised bracket feet with ebonized trim, eight-day time and quarter-chime, brass, five-pillar movement with maintaining power, nest of nine bells, and deadbeat escapement all powered by two iron weights, ht. 76 in.
