Russian Mahogany and Gilt-bronze Secretary, first quarter 19th century, the shaped cornice over a frieze with bellflower chains, flanked by pilasters topped with laurels over figural head mounts, a single fold-down writing surface opens to reveal an interior with correspondence slots and three short drawers, two bearing the inscription "Van Wyck," projecting lower case with single drawer and lower curvate shelf, all on heavily carved griffon monopodia, ht. 50 3/4, wd. 36 3/8, dp. 21, dp. open 27 1/4 in.
