Circa 1660 and later. The serpentine crest pierced with a crown and flank by leaves and a circular pinwheel motif, the later rectangular back carved with a knight’s helmeted head in profile, flanked by stylized foliage, down-swept arms center a later plank above a carved skirt on turned supports with plain stretchers. Height 40 ½”. Width 23 ½”. (Cond: replaced elements, one later stretcher, wear, patina black in some areas) (300/500)
