Chinese, early 19th century. Chinese Export "Rose Canton" porcelain covered tureen with underplate or bowl. Both enameled with birds, butterflies, insects, fruit and florals. The tureen having a gilt mushroom finial, the body mounted to each side with pierced gilt enameled naturalistic style handles. Tureen height 10.75, width 14". The elongated underplate or bowl height 2.25", width 14.25".
