This engraving was originally illustrated in John Hogan's Thoughts About the City of St. Louis, her Commerce and Manufactures, Railroads, &c. booklet in 1854. The work depicts the city of St. Louis after much of the riverfront had been rebuilt following the Great Fire of 1849. Sight: 8 1/4 x 53 1/2 inches.
