St. Louis in 1832: from an original painting by Geo. Catlin in possession of the Mercantile Library Association, c. 1860-70. Lithograph with hand-coloring. Framed and matted. This work was made from an original painting by George Catlin (1796-1872) that was at one time a part of the Mercantile Library's collection and was distributed by the Mercantile Library in the 1850s. The oil painting, View of St. Louis, is now in the collection of the Missouri History Museum. Sight: 15 x 20 1/4 inches.
