19th/20th century having a rectangular lift top with serpentine front over a single drawer, raised on cabriole legs. Height 33 x width 32 x depth 20 1/2 inches. Under natural light the surface stain appears quite dark. The top of the lid shows visible crazing and uniform craquelure throughout, with additional surface wear and scratches. There is an area of milky/cloudy varnish visible in the lower left corner of the top of the lid (measuring approximately 6 x 6 inches). The body and legs show visible wear consistent with age and use. The interior is lined with velvet fitted compartments to house flatware, and there is a small rip to the material in the center of the lower drawer. Overall, the lining shows wear and use.
