(19th Century) A Rest in the Desert, 1888 oil on wood signed and dated (lower left) 11 x 13 1/2 inches. In decent, stable condition. panel is intact without cracks. Some abrasions to painting near center between camels and figure, further loss near lower edge. Examination under UV light did not reveal any other issues. Frame mostly intact but with a few minor losses to gilt. Additional images available upon request.
