Sold for:
$2,375

circa 1820 having a three-part fret carved back above the stuffover seat within open arms, raised on openwork fore-legs. Height 39 x width 60 x depth 20 inches. Sturdy, complete condition. Finish appears older (late 19th century) but possibly not original, with usual light surface wear (nicks & scratches) consistent with age. Dark finish hides most of the graining to the wood. A few areas of minor repair in the back. Scattered separations or loosened elements in the pierce carved back. Please see additional photos available upon request. Upholstery (Fortuny or similar) intact but soiled.
