(Austrian, 1836-1918) Portrait of Boy with Dogs oil on panel signed C. Reichert (lower left) 12 5/8 x 8 5/8 inches. Property from the Collection of Danielle Marino, Chicago, Illinois Surface dirt overall, as well as scattered areas of discoloration. Two minor areas of white discoloration along the right vertical edge of the panel. Craquelure throughout, particularly visible on the boy's face, the boy's white sleeves and the white fur of the dogs. Examination under UV light reveals an even varnish, an area of fluorescence around the signature and an instance of retouch to the left of the lower dog's face. Framed: 20 1/2 x 16 3/4 inches.
