le roy, paris, circa 1800 having a quarter-striking movement with alarm and repeater mechanisms and a circular enameled dial with Arabic numeral hours signed Leroy a Paris, the case surmounted by a seated figure of Father Time with mounts depicting Cupid and Psyche at the sides, raised on twin supports in the form of dolphins. Height 8 3/4 inches. Property from the Collection of Marielle Van Der Burgh, Purcellville, Virginia The clock winds; chime and alarm mechanisms function, but string repeater does not seem to work properly. Case with scratches, minor dents, areas of uneven patina consistent with age. Possibly a mount missing from the back. Glass possibly replaced (intact without cracks or chips).
