19th century the case surmounted by a figure of Venus kneeling on a tortoise and centered with a dial having Roman numeral hours, raised on bracket feet. Height 20 3/4 x width 10 1/4 x depth 6 1/4 inches. Case in overall god condition. Venus is intact without dents or losss, having even bright patina with some minor spotting. Base likewise intact but clock is lacking hands. Movement seems mostly complete but lacking pendulum, stamped GAILLY/AINE. Both springs take a wind with the later, associated key. Unsure if movement works. Late 19th century. Additional images available upon request.
