Chinese, 19th century. A pair of figural paintings, watercolor and gouache on pith, apparently unsigned. Pair of imperial figural scenes comprising of a seated emperor in heavily patterned dress being attended by a young boy in matching garment who is holding a precious object, the emperor being seated on a dragon form throne set upon a small pedestal atop a diaper patterned floor in front of a green cloud scroll screen beneath a cream toned drape; the second painting being a mirror image of the first excepting for an Empress seated center upon a dragon form throne being attended by a young servant girl in red robes who is holding a precious object. Framed approximately 20 3/4" x 16 1/8", sight size approximately 12 5/8" x 8".
