Inspired by the 1944 cartoon episode “What’s Cookin’ Doc?” in which Bugs demands a vote recount when he is beaten out for an Academy Award by James Cagney, and depicting him striking a Carmen Miranda pose. Fired ceramic clay tile created by the ‘Catalina’ method introduced in California in the 1930s and employed with perfection here by Vought. Artist’s COA signed and numbered. 11 ¾ x 11 ¾”. Original black frame. Fine.
