Lee, Stan. Original Newspaper Comic Strip Art for The Amazing Spider-Man. Marvel Comics/The Register and Tribune Syndicate, 1984/85. Pen and ink on artist’s cardstock. Two pieces, both from the series “The Terror of Dar Harat,” comprising a two-panel strip (Dec. 17, 1984) in which the hero is held captive by the terrorist group, and a three-panel strip (Jan. 25, 1985) showing Spiderman shooting webbing at his partner Smitty as they rush to prevent a helicopter from taking off. Pasted titles and copyright credits. Signed in pencil by creator Stan Lee in the lower right corner, with inked credit in his name on both examples. 5 ½ x 13 ½”. Framed and matted, held with archival corner guards. Fine.
