Addressed envelope with Frank “Benjamin Webster”, Esq Theatre Royal, Haymarket, London. Together with steel engraving portrait of Dickens. Measuring 6 ¾” by 4 7/8”. Framed under Plexiglas. (Cond: surface soiling removed vinyl eraser crumbs. Autograph and adhesive removed with methylcellulose pultices Engraving given one bath in deionized water to release some discoloration. Discoloration further reduced by three exposures to sunlight while paper is wet, PH raised to 8, air dried in between. Humidified and straightened out under weight) (200/250)
