Pablo Picasso (Spain, 1881 - 1973) matted and unframed linocut, signed in pencil by the artist to the lower right hand corner. Measures 16" in height with width of 20" with a sight image of 11-3/8" in height with width of 14". In overall good condition, all measurments are approximate. No certificate of authenticity accompanies this piece, however style & signature are representative of the artist's known works. Provenance: from the estate of a prominent European & Texas collector, known to not only to have collected quite an amazing assortment of notable art, but to have befriended a vast majority of the artists whose work was acquired. Linocuts form a relatively small part of Picasso’s oeuvre as a printmaker, however some of his most outstanding compositions were produced using this method in a short burst of activity between 1958 and 1963.
