Irving Kriesberg (American, 1919-2009) The Russian Engineer Signed and dated "IK 53" l. l., signed and titled "Irving Kriesberg/..." on the stretcher, identified on labels from the Art Lending Service of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, and Duveen-Graham Gallery, New York, affixed to the stretcher, inscribed "COLL. PHILIP D. HEILMAN" on the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 30 x 26 in. (76.2 x 66.0 cm), framed. Condition: Stretcher marks, bulges at corners, small puncture and abrasion l.l., small abrasion u.l., not examined out of frame. Provenance: Duveen-Graham Gallery, New York, collection of Philip Douglas Heilman, to the current owner.
