Pennsylvania, probably Dauphin County, painted blanket chest, ca. 1795 , the ends decorated with floret and tulip stenciled ovals, the front with similarly decorated panels with central red and green stars flanking a stylized heart, all on an intricately stenciled ground, the interior is fitted with a till and serpentine wrought iron hinges, 22 1/2" h., 51" w., 23" d.
