American, 20th century. Three modern sets of athlete or sports themed patinated bronze metal book ends. One depicting a figure golfing with stylized boomerang forms flanking scene of hitting golf ball with club, unmarked. One of a dynamic kick, possibly of a punter during a football game, marked on each end "COPYRIGHT BY BARD ART CO NEW YORK". The remaining of a figure playing tennis or squash with raquet in hand, monogrammed "P.W.S.". Each figure rendered in minimal sihouetted style and in an active pose or gesture. Height of golfer and kicker bookends approximately 5". Height of tennis player bookends approximately 4.5".
