Japanese, 19th/20th century. Collection of twelve handwoven baskets comprising of two bamboo vine graduated circular strainers; a large woven Ikebana bamboo handled basket; four rectangular woven basket knife holders with rope ties; a woven bamboo winnower basket; a tall woven wisteria rectangular fish trap basket; a bottle form woven vase; and two rectangular woven handled baskets in tote form. Bottle form basket approximate height 9.1". Diameter of largest strainer approximately 16.5". Provenance: From the Collection of Owner and Director of Gallery Momoyama, Reginald Williams of Atlanta, Georgia.
