Gayer & Strauss, Schwabisch Gmund, Mid-20th Century Alt-Heidelberg pattern, comprising a teapot, a coffee pot, a creamer and a covered sugar, together with an associated silver-plate two-handled tray. marked '.925' on underside 58 ozt 10 dwts gross Height of tallest 9 inches. Provenance: Accompanied by a receipt from William Walter Antiques Ltd., London, June 9, 1959. Service in overall decent condition. Light to moderate surface scratching consistent with polishing and use. Tarnish and polish remnants to recesses. Bodies with small scattered indents. Creamer with 1/2 inch circular indent to body. Lid of teapot not attached to body. Coffee pot with 3/4 inch indent to handle. Thermals replaced. No evidence of monogram or monogram removal. Width of tray over handles 24 3/4 inches. Dimension of tray without handles 21 x 14 1/2 inches.
