20th century depicting a lady with an attendant seated before a dressing mirror, bearing an Aelteste Volkstedter mark in underglaze blue to the base. Height 15 1/4 inches. Property from the Collection of Dominic Marzovillo, Chicago, Illinois In good, stable condition overall. Scattered edge chips, minor areas of loss and some repairs to the simulated lace decoration throughout. Areas of rubbing and minor edge chips to the gilt encrusted flowers. Mirror is slightly loose from table frame, and appears to be later. Minor wear to the painted and gilt decoration throughout. Examination under UV light reveals no evidence of retouch.
