(French, 1870-1915) Man and Lady gilt metal with faux marble base signed Rancoulet to base Height 24 inches. Property from the Collection of Dr. Parto Rezai, Glenview, Illinois As catalogued, this is not a bronze figural group but some other alloy (spelter). Appears to be an early 20th century casting with later gilt finish. Finish fairly even (bright) throughout but with a few scattered minor losses to back. Figures themselves appear complete except for male who is lacking a finger to his left hand and elements (branches?) to both hands. Area of splitting to the naturalistic base between the feet of the two figures. Base is painted wood. Additional images available upon request.
