Set of six French Tressemann & Vogt Limoges five well oyster plates, hand decorated with sponged gold on the scalloped border and gold leaves in the center. The oyster plates were made for the high-end importer Gilman Collamore & Co. of New York. Headed by Davis Collamore the company occupied two storeys of showrooms in The Wilbraham, a fashionable block of bachelor flats at Fifth Avenue and 30th Street that opened in 1890. Each plate measures approximately 8-1/4" in diameter and marked to the bottom T &V Limoges France, Gilman Collamore & Co., Fifth Avenue and 30th Street, New York. Condition consistent with age and use. One plate with chip to the bottom (Please see photograph).
