Utagawa Toyokuni (Japanese, 1769-1825), "Untitled (Samurai Triptych)", woodblock triptych print in colors on paper, each sheet with red and yellow rectangular inscriptions, each with red oval inscriptions, each with two small black seals, leftmost sheet with graphite inscription "Toyo Kuni". Figural three sheet ukiyo-e triptych print depicting central samurai figure with elaborate robe and dual swords, the figure flanked on either side by crouching figures, one male, one female, with artist's information and other assorted ephemera (including original letter from Sotheby's Assistant Vice President of the Japanese department regarding the lot in 1989) to verso. Framed approximately 19.25" x 34.5". Sight approximately 13.75" x 28.5".
