French, 19th century. A pair of figural gilt bronze compotes having grotesque masks and bacchanalian figures to bowl, a coiling snake to shaft, scrolled and splayed acanthus surrounding lion's heads to base, each apparently unmarked. Approximate height 8.125"; bowl 7" x 5".
