Chinese, 19th century. An unusual pair of export porcelain wig stands, each bell shaped form and decorated with underglaze blue figural scenes in courtyard with landscape. Apparently unmarked. Approximate height 8", diameter of base 4". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Mrs. Nancy Rutledge Pogue, Blufton, South Carolina (wife of Mr. William Pogue, who served as an heir to the H. & S. Pogue Company department store chain based in Cincinnati, Ohio).
