Circle of Sir David Wilkie (British (active United States), 1785-1841), "Untitled (Pub Scene)", oil on canvas, apparently unsigned. Figural genre scene painting depicting a dimly-lit pub or tavern interior reminiscent of Dutch Old Master works; with men seated at long wooden table as alcoholic drinks are poured. Stencil to verso (indistinct "Southport to Lytham". Framed approximately 30.25" x 37". Unframed approximately 25" x 32".
