An English Spode stone china meat platter in "Willis" pattern, inspired by Chinese ceramics, with overglaze enamel depictions of cherry blossoms and various flowers including lotus, gold fleur-de-lis border to platter interior, marked to underside at rim "2127 SPODE Stone China". Approximate dimensions 13.425" x 16.5". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Mrs. Nancy Rutledge Pogue, Blufton, South Carolina (wife of Mr. William Pogue, who served as an heir to the H. & S. Pogue Company department store chain based in Cincinnati, Ohio).
